More about me
At the age of 9 years old I started recieving 1 to 1 music lessons through Leicestershire Arts in Education (Leicestershire School's Music Service). Throughout my time in the music service I progressed through the Junior percussion ensembles and wind bands up to Senior level. I also played in the Senior Big Band (Big Band 1) and went on tour to Austria, Italy & Spain.
Education
I studied a Level 3 BTEC in Performing Music at Leicester College. I passed the course with a Merit grade.
I then went on to audition for universities and chose to study music and the drum kit at the British & Irish Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) in London, formely known as Tech Music School. I completed the course and earned a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in Creative Musicianship.
After graduating from University
I continued to play in bands whilst working various day jobs.
In the evenings I would perform at music venues in Leicester and private functions and musical theatre productions around the Midlands.
Going self-employed
The COVID-19 lockdown had ended, I decided to persuit a career as a freelance/self employed musician. I was appointed one of Yamaha's drum kit instructors for Yamaha Music Point, Milton Keynes (2022 - 2024); simultaneously, I began to grow my business. I was teaching privately and working regularly with professional bands, to this day I continue to do so.
